Audit Committee

The purpose of the Audit Committee is to assist the board of directors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities for the association’s accounting and financial reporting processes and audits of the financial statements of IBTTA, by reviewing (1) the integrity of the association’s financial statements, (2) the independence and qualifications of its external auditor, (3) the association’s system of internal controls, (4) the performance of the association’s external audit process, and (5) compliance with laws, regulations, and ethics.

Awards Committee

The purpose of the Awards Committee is to oversee and conduct the Toll Excellence Awards Program. The committee evaluates each submission based on all criteria and selects winners in the following categories: Administration and Finance; Customer Service and Marketing Outreach; Social Responsibility; Technology; Toll Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance; and Innovation in the Private Sector. The President’s Award for Excellence – the best of the best – is chosen from the winners of the other categories.

Compensation Policy Committee

Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Working Group

Executive Committee

The IBTTA Executive Committee consists of the President, all Vice Presidents, Immediate Past President, and the Executive Director and CEO in a non-voting capacity.  The Executive Committee supervises the affairs of the Association between meetings of the Board of Directors, and shall perform such other functions as the Board of Directors may authorize.

Finance Standing Committee of the Board

The purpose of the Finance Standing Committee of the Board is to review and evaluate the IBTTA annual operating budget, quarterly reports of the association’s financial position, changes in policies and procedures for financial activities, and other duties assigned by the President and Board of Directors.

Finance Investment Subcommittee

The purpose of the Investment Subcommittee is to ensure that IBTTA investment activities conform to the IBTTA investment policy approved by the Board; review how IBTTA investment activities compare to market conditions; ensure that fees paid to manage IBTTA investments are reasonable and competitive; and recommend changes, as needed, to the existing investment policy.

IBTTA Foundation Board of Directors

The IBTTA Foundation is the research, educational, and charitable arm of IBTTA. The Foundation supports and conducts research on transportation and tolling; conducts training and professional development programs including the IBTTA Leadership Academy; supports charitable good works and service projects; and operates a scholarship program. The Foundation Board of Directors is the Foundation’s governing body and has full power to do all things necessary or desirable in conducting the business of the Foundation.

Leadership Academy Regents

The purpose of the Leadership Academy Regents is to oversee the Leadership Academy, a program of the IBTTA Foundation.  The Regents provide advice and guidance on the development of Leadership Academy curriculum and programs, working closely with IBTTA staff and the Director of the Academy.

Veterans Initiative

There is great interest among the IBTTA membership in a Veterans Initiative to support personnel leaving active duty military service.  The purpose of this start-up effort – part of the IBTTA Foundation – is to identify a genuine need and an action plan to meet this need. We hope it will provide a channel for IBTTA’s friends of the military to support our heroes returning from uniformed duty.
