This session intended to inspire and empower organizations to take back their data starting with an overview of the Cyber Kill Chain and how it can be leveraged to prioritize cyber maturity improvement efforts. The panelists went on a deep dive into real-world examples of threats and attacks documented in a recent U.S. Justice Department indictment of two suspected hackers working for China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS). Each environment and architecture is different, but understanding the threat vectors that apply to an organization's specific environment and how an attack progresses through the kill chain will help to make decisions that can stop the bad guys faster and minimize damage.
Takeaways for the session included recommended controls to map the kill chain and prioritization tactics to make control improvements within their tolling environment.
