USDOT Perspective On Implementing The Infrastructure Investment And Jobs Act (IIJA)

When

Wednesday, January 27, 2022

What

A new era of American infrastructure investment is moving forward in 2022. Our special guest Charles Small, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs at U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) joined IBTTA Executive Director, Pat Jones, to discuss the implementation of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Deputy Assistant Secretary Small will also discuss USDOT program and policy priorities and answer IBTTA member questions.

Passage of the IIJA in November of 2021 marked the beginning of historic federal transportation investments. The law includes a five-year reauthorization of surface transportation programs and creates many new competitive and discretionary grant programs. The U.S. Department of Transportation is working hard to develop the program guidelines and requirements to put $1.2 trillion in investments to work for the American people.
