Applications Now Open for Up to Six $5,000 Scholarships for Transportation Students Through the IBTTA Foundation

Washington, D.C. -- The IBTTA Foundation – the research, education and charitable arm of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association – has established a scholarship program to assist current undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in transportation-related fields. Up to six awards, with each recipient receiving $5,000, will be granted, and at least one award will be allocated to a student attending an HBCU.

This program is administered by Scholarship America^®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Who’s Eligible?

Applicants must be:

1. Current undergraduate college students who have completed at least two full semesters of undergraduate coursework at the time of application (24 credit minimum) or graduate students, and who are pursuing a degree in one of the following fields:

• Civil Engineering
• City and Regional Planning
• Construction Management
• Public Policy or Public Administration
• Structural Engineering
• Finance
• Accounting
• Information Technology
• Business Management
• Marketing
• Communications
• Operations Management
• Other Transportation-Related Degrees

2. Planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate, or graduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.

3. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

International students may apply.

Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
