IBTTA member Bestpass blew through a major milestone in 2018, with more than 500,000 toll transponders now in place to help commercial truckers in the United States save time and money on the nation’s tolled roads, bridges, and tunnels.

The Colonie, New York-based company announced in a January 2nd release that it now processes more than 238,000 toll transactions per day for nearly 6,000 customers in the United States and Canada. The value of those transactions averages $2.38 million per day, reports the Daily Gazette in Schenectady, NY, and Bestpass estimates it has saved its commercial trucking customers more than $100 million since it began operations.

The company says it added 1,700 new customers and 22 employees last year, bringing its total staffing to 78.

Our year-over-year growth, especially over the past year, underscores the value of Bestpass toll management for our customers, as well as our ability to continually improve our service and engage new markets,” said President and CEO John Andrews. “We are incredibly proud of our success in 2018 and look forward to continued growth in 2019 as the toll experts for commercial fleets of all shapes and sizes.”

IBTTA has long recognized that safe and well-maintained highways, bridges and tunnels keep traffic flowing, strengthens our economy and provides greater mobility for truckers and motorists.
