Dallas-area Transportation Professionals to Attend International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association’s 2020 Leadership Academy

As the State Conversation Focuses on Transportation Infrastructure, Week-Long Academy to Take Place February 23-28 in Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, Dallas-area transportation professionals are joining future transportation industry leaders from across the globe for the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association’s (IBTTA) 2020 Leadership Academy. The Academy runs February 23-28, in Washington, D.C.
The four attendees to the 2020 IBTTA Leadership Academy from the Dallas-area, include:
- Dave DiAngelo, Toll Systems Specialist – Milligan Partners, (Dallas, TX)
- Randy Moore, CPA – Electronic Transaction Consultants, Inc, (Richardson, TX)
- Jason Stein, VP, Business Development and Operations – TollPlus LLC, (Carrollton, TX)
- Sabu Stephen, Assistant Executive Director – Operations – North Texas Tollway Authority, (Plano, TX)
"My theme as IBTTA President this year is ‘The Road to Continued Excellence.’ Excellence doesn’t just happen; it gets built by strong leaders. That’s why I believe nothing is more important to our industry than its future leaders. I’m proud to serve as President of an association that puts leadership development at the top of its agenda,” said Samuel Johnson, IBTTA President and Chief Toll Operations Officer for the Transportation Corridor Agencies.
Selected through a competitive application process, 36 attendees will participate in the intensive week-long course taught by internationally recognized toll industry leaders, business partners and educators.
"The technologies and systems that drive mobility around the world are changing very rapidly. To adapt to those changes, our industry needs great leaders,” said Pat Jones, Executive Director and CEO, IBTTA. “It’s essential for us to equip our future leaders with a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of tolling and transportation systems. That’s what the Leadership Academy is all about, and it’s part of our DNA.”
The course work includes many facets of toll agency operations with a healthy dose of self-assessment and problem solving.
"The rigorous coursework during the six-day Academy and the ability to learn alongside future leaders offers an exciting opportunity for personal and professional growth," said Dave DiAngelo, Toll Systems Specialist – Milligan Partners. “I look forward to networking with peers from around the globe and enhancing the skills and knowledge I need to assume a role as a leader in the transportation community."

Dr. Barbara K. Gannon, Psy.D., directs IBTTA’s Leadership Academy program. In addition, she has designed and delivered training programs in the transportation sector for more than 20 years.
