Local San Gabriel USC Student Receives Scholarship from International Transportation Association

Lyndon Chang Awarded $5,000 by the International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association Foundation to Pursue His Degree in Public Policy and Administration

 

Washington, D.C. – The International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) Foundation scholarship, announced today that Lyndon Chang, a resident of San Gabriel currently enrolled at the University of Southern California pursuing a degree in Public Policy and Administration, has been awarded one of two 2018 scholarships.  IBTTA is the worldwide association for the owners and operators of toll facilities and the businesses that serve them.

 

Chang, a graduate of Gabrielino High School, will receive $5,000 from the IBTTA Foundation Scholarship Program designed to assist undergraduate students pursuing degrees in a transportation-related field of study, including engineering; urban and regional planning; construction management; public administration; and other related fields. 

 

Chang was selected through a competitive selection process.  This is the second year for the IBTTA Foundation Scholarship Program, which has now awarded $20,000 in scholarship funds to four students.

 

“We are thrilled to present this scholarships to support Lyndon in his studies.” said Patrick D. Jones, Executive Director and CEO, IBTTA. “Transportation is an exciting and growing field and we hope these scholarships will encourage and inspire the next generation of transportation leaders.”

Lyndon Chang will be recognized for his achievement during the Opening Ceremonies of IBTTA’s 86th Annual Meeting and Exhibition in Baltimore, MD on October 15, 2018.
