What’s Next for Transportation and Toll Roads? Hundreds of Transportation and Tolling Leaders from Around the World Gather in Orlando to Find Out

International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association Hosts Technology Summit March 19-22, 2022 

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – What will the future of transportation and toll roads look like? Tolling industry professionals from across the country and globe will be in Orlando, March 19-22 to answer that question, and to learn what's new and what’s next in roadway transportation. They will gather for the 2022 Technology Summit hosted by the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) – the worldwide association for the owners and operators of toll facilities and the businesses that serve them. 

 

“We’re thrilled to be in Florida for our Summit, where top transportation professionals will convene, share the latest information, and explore new solutions to some of the toughest issues affecting our roadways today,” said Patrick Jones, Executive Director & CEO of IBTTA. “We chose Florida because it is a transportation innovation hub with plenty of local examples of where the industry is heading.” 

 

The Central Florida Expressway Authority and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise are co-hosts for the 2022 IBTTA Technology Summit.  

 

Press are invited to attend one of the program’s five General Sessions, including “A Conversation with Florida Agency Innovators” who will discuss how their agencies are able to achieve and support innovative initiatives, such as preparing for autonomous vehicles (AV). Panelists include:

  • Laura Kelley, Executive Directr, Central Florida Expressway Authority, Orlando 
  • Nicla Liquori, Executive Directr & CEO, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, Ocoee
