Emovis is the prime technology and operations service provider of the Abertis Group for toll-based mobility solutions. The company is currently operating some of the world’s busiest cashless toll roads including Montreal’s A25 Highway and Liverpool’s Mersey Gateway bridge. In 2017, the company converted Puerto Rico’s Metropistas Highway Network into an All Electronic Tolling (AET) highway network. Emovis is also pioneering new mobility pricing solutions for mileage-based user-fees (MBUF), low-emission zones, and congestion. The company is currently a Commercial Account Manager in Oregon’s Road User Charge program (OreGo), which is the first ever RUC program implemented in the United States. Emovis won the Washington RUC (WARUC) pilot in 2017, the UDOT Road Usage Charge project in 2019 and is operating Virginia Mileage Choice program since July 2022 with the objective of providing a fair and efficient funding solution for transportation departments with declining fuel tax revenues.
